Chanukah Drive

Each year 350 children JAFCO serves in the community complete their holiday wish list for eight items, one for each night of Chanukah. These wish lists are then distributed throughout South Florida so people can make their wishes come true. Individuals, families, groups, schools, and Synagogues participate in making the holiday season a beautiful experience for these very precious children. We do want to make this Chanukah extra special for our children by making their wishes come true. For some, it is their first Chanukah celebration, for others it may be the only Chanukah that they spend at JAFCO and we want to make it special for them.

 

Purchasing and Delivery Suggestions:

  • Avoid the holiday shopping crowds by purchasing a gift card in any amount or make a tax-deductible donations towards the JAFCO Chanukah Fund and we will go out and do the shopping for you.
  • Please deliver all unwrapped Chanukah gifts to the JAFCO Children’s Village (4200 North University Drive, Sunrise 33351) located on the east side of University Drive between Commercial and Oakland Park Blvd, just south of NW 44th St.
  • Drop off hours are 8:30am-6:30pm during the week of November 26th through the 30th..
  • You can ask several of your friends to contribute toward the fulfillment of one wish list or you can each “adopt” a child for the holiday.
  • If you do not feel comfortable taking a full wish list please feel free to purchase one or more of the items listed below from our Gift Suggestions.
